Tipping Bucket Rain GaugeThe Geolux RG200 and RG400 are precision-engineered tipping bucket rain gauges, designed for long-term reliability and accuracy in demanding environments.
A specially developed siphon regulates water flow to the tipping mechanism, ensuring consistent performance across both low and high rainfall intensities. Unlike conventional designs, the siphon is manufactured as a single-piece metal component using advanced 3D printing technology, with optimized internal hydraulic chambers that deliver unmatched measurement precision.
For operation in cold climates and snowy conditions, both models can be equipped with optional heaters ranging from 18 W to 100 W. An integrated power management system with a voltage upconverter supports a wide supply voltage range of 9 to 27 V.
The tipping mechanism is equipped with a dual reed switch output, allowing easy integration with dual dataloggers or pulse-counting systems. Collected water is efficiently drained through dual orifices at the base of the instrument.
